Okemo Valley Fishing. There are several areas for fishing in the Okemo Valley region, Fly fishing in the Black River, browns and rainbow trout are also stocked in the trophy trout stream along route 131. Numerous areas for parking and access to river are available.

Okemo Valley Hiking. Okemo Valley HikingHiking is very popular in the Okemo Valley region. Hike or walk the Healdville Trail (5.8 miles), the Lowell Lake trail (3.5 miles), Weathersfield Trail (5.8 miles), and a variety of excellent hiking and walking trails for any level hiker.

Okemo Valley Biking. Okemo Valley has long been known for its excellent bike trails, paths, routes and tours. The Calvin Coolidge Bike and Recreation Greenway is a scenic, paved path that affords miles of biking terrain among the tall trees.
Okemo Valley Paddling. The Okemo Valley region is home to 16 public ponds and lakes, providing 1,435 acres of great kayak and canoe paddling, miles of beautiful shoreline, stunning views and abundant wildlife.

Okemo Valley Snowmobiling/VASTOkemo Valley Snowmobiling/VAST. Riding a snowmobile or sled along the hundreds of miles of trails in the Okemo Valley is one of the great pleasures of winter in Vermont. Across the state, the Vermont Association of Snow Travelers along with 140+ local clubs have created and continually maintained thousands of miles of scenic trails. Okemo Valley Wildlife/Bird Viewing. View Vermont’s diverse wildlife along Route 100 north. Reading Tyson Road is famous for moose viewing in the early hours before dark. Follow the road uphill to Colby Pond, there you can view otters, beavers and birds including, flickers and woodpeckers. Along the lake areas on 100 north you can watch numerous birds - blue heron, mergansers, mallards, kingfishers, warblers, hawks, and sapsuckers.
